About HOW
Humanities Open Window is being developed as a kind of Open Classroom for the students of English Literature with view to providing rich multimedia learning experience. For this we have primarily selected the Undergraduate Syllabus of English Honours of Vidyasagar University. Syllabi from other universities can also be included if teachers come forward with substantial contribution. Anybody can join. Please note this is going to be a not-for-profit initiative and so nobody will get paid.
We intend to provide:
- Rich online and offline bibliography for the syllabus in hyperlinked manner for individual texts and topics.
- Instant online access to the texts (copyright free), critical works, images and video files.
- Links to open access multimedia contents like movies on a text, documentaries on a particular topic/area, musical adaptation, paintings etc.
- We also hope to host online class lectures from various universities, colleges, individual teachers in live and recorded manner.
For any other thing, please send in your suggestions to Tarun Tapas Mukherjee at ttm1974@gmail.com.
